Axencia Galega de Innovación

The Axencia Galega de Innovación (Galician Innovation Agency, GAIN) is the public body of the regional government of Galicia, Xunta de Galicia, responsible for structuring, planning, coordinating and implementing research and innovation strategies, as well as for the Galician Plan for Research, Innovation and Growth (I2C Plan, 2011-2015). It is also responsible for the implementation and coordination of the Smart Specialization Strategy in the region.

With information and dissemination activities or services such as the management of financial and granting programmes, among other, GAIN supports businesses to increase their competitiveness and to firmly and sustainably grow through innovation and creativity. It also enhances companies´ participation in EU-funded projects, and can provide them with specialised services via 2 innovation centres:

In parallel to all the above mentioned, GAIN has promoted and participated in a number of EU-funded projects, specially in the framework of INTERREG, FP6 & 7 or ERA-NET, in areas such as the lead market initiative, materials science and engineering, maritime transport and pollution, technology transfer, promotion of innovation, energy, ICT or science communication.

 

Asociación Cluster del Naval Gallego - ACLUNAGA

As a shipbuilding regional cluster, it aims to improve competitiveness and stimulate development within all companies of the Galician naval sector. Its activities include identification of company needs, provision of strategic information, etc. At the moment, it represents 205 companies, whose products and services cover all segments of the shipbuilding value chain.

Core business activities of the partner organization It comprises 61 companies and more than 10,000 workers in Pays-de-la-Loire. They aim to diversify their activities by leveraging their expertise in shipbuilding, and are experts on mall shipbuilding and floating structures, ship repair for pooling local businesses and cruise-ship renovation. Neopolia has a lot of expertise in research and eco-conception, as well as on supporting their member organisations to be competitive in the global market.

Associação das Indústrias Navais – AIN Portugal

As the national association of the sector in Portugal, it deals with all activities directly or indirectly related with shipbuilding and ship repairs in the country. It focuses on reinforcing cooperation between associated industries, promoting training activities, identifying research, development and innovation needs of its members and supporting improvement in company management.

Shipbuilders & Ship-repairers Association - SAA

Ever since its incorporation in 1989, its activity has always been centred around actions that represent and promote research, development and innovation of the UK naval industry. All these actions aim to increase the competitiveness of the UK naval industry. It therefore has established several lines of action, such as the promotion of R&D&I projects in the naval industry or internationalization.
